Old Times Revisited

Wow, that's about all I can say at this moment. I enjoy Facebook and the friends it has brought back into my life from as far back as elementary school. Well, today, I find a friend, a very good friend, from when I was in high school in Davenport,Ia. Her name is Mary, she was a friend back in the day, and I am so glad today she still is a friend. I met her through another friend Brandi and at that time Mary was dating a guy named John, can't even remember his last name. Guess it never mattered. At any rate, i was dating Brandi but really wanted to date Mary, the whole time John was wanting to date Brandi, it was confusing now as it was then. Well one day we went to the local getaway which probably still is, Credit Island. We as in the four of us, played near an old tank, and a soccer field. I remember vividly trying to talk to Mary while Brandi went off with John about something. Long story short, John did Mary very wrongly and I had broken up with Brandi due to the fact I was ...

Rollin' Again

Hello everyone! Well it is great to be rolling again in the truck. Seems that Caterpillar had to replace a few parts on the trucks DPF system so it would run again. The Ard head was bad and a few sensors, but now it seems to be ok. For the moment that is. I picked up the truck and headed north over Cabbage Pass to Pasco,Wa. Now that I have a truck full of IBP beef I am headed down to Dallas,Tx to drop the trailer and see about getting a different truck. I got a few more friends this week in Facebook I haven't seen in a looong time. So I went on a search of friends I have long since forgotten about until one friend found me. I can't explain how good of a feeling it is to be remembered by friends from when you were in high school, junior high or even as far back as elementary. My math teacher from Andrew Jackson Elementary found me, boy I was happy, he was my favorite teacher all through those years. I guess its just great to be moving again, so now that I did my days work I will...

Woe is Me...

Well well. I got my truck back Thursday night. they said it was now fixed. But after talking to the tech who actually did the work, it was no where near done but Caterpillar said since it passed the tests (barely) it was to be released. I guess when the owner of the company you work for has a nice chunk of stock in a company, things get done the way you want. But then again, I could be wrong. I have a Kenworth T2000 with a 435hp caterpillar engine. It is well known across the board the regen system known as the DPF is crap. Thats what broke on the truck last weekend. Now today I left Elko,Nv and headed towards Boise,Id and guess what... Yup, the same error message popped up. PID 064 Unknown Engine. That part went bad. Well fo course, if you don't fix what made the first one bad, each adn every one you replace will keep failing. So here I sit in Boise and my truck won't get finished until tuesday. So ill be down for a total of 10 days. I think I will be turning my truck in when ...

Profiteering We Hope

Well slowly this AdSense thing is starting to show up here and on my other pages. Seeing how I just rant and ramble, you will see some ads of all kinds. Please if its interesting click it, see what they have to offer. Give it 30 seconds then move on. Maybe I can make a buck, maybe not. As I learn more and more from the training I might have to have blogs geared towards a certain idea or thought, or perhaps I will just post several blogs a day seeing how my brain is always bouncing from topic to topic. It's pretty informative so far, the Adsense training that is. Let's hope it pans out. Chris

Rembering

Wow, just about an hour ago my puppy was taken by her new owners. Kinda weird, only had her a bit over a week and I see now that I was actually more attached then I thought. So I already talked to the people who sold me "Precious" and told them what happened and I wanted another pup from the next available litter. Now it is a waiting game. I actually had pangs of guilt, which I am sure I deserved. Glad I never told my children what I had done, then again I wouldn't have sold her so soon. Oh well. My truck has a part coming tomorrow and then it will be a day of testing again. So maybe I will get lucky and get my truck tomorrow, then again, possibly friday. I was also told by my DM that they have me on safety hold, I can only assume it is for my quarterly review. We will see. Guess I will play a bit of Mafia Wars on my facebook account and see what happens, maybe I can sleep tonight, then maybe not. Funny eh? Chris

Headaches and Heartaches

hello everyone, it has been a few days since my last post and a few things has happened. First off my truck is STILL in the shop across the street. It was towed from my last location to Elko,Nv a bit over 55 miles from where i broke down. Seems there are issues with the regen system and temperatures in several areas. They tell me it will be another two days at least. This sucks. At least I will get paid for my break down but still, there is only so much to do and it gets nutty here. That cute little puppy I had gotten over a week ago, well it seems the lady at the repair shop loves my dog. After her swooning over my puppy and telling me how they are expensive here I figured what the heck. So now i have $500.00 more dollars in my pocket and the kids will wait a bit longer. I figure they have waited 3 years, whats a few more months. Anyways, it should be them picking a dog out, not me. This hotel is giving me headaches and it sucks. There is only so much around here to eat and it hard to...

Good and the Bad

Well here I am in Nevada. Gambling and Brothels. That's about all the good there is. I won $125.00 here at the truck stop but that didn't even make me happy. My brand new truck with only 23k miles on it tossed me an ugly code. One I and the roadside help at Stevens couldn't figure out. PID 064 unknown Engine. GO figure. After I seen this nasty little error code my truck went from 65mph down to 55mph. Now it wont go faster then 30mph. Seems it will have to be towed on monday (cause its cheaper) to be looked at. If I had been paying the tow bill they would have me on a truck and gone by now. But thats fine, it is there dime. The other crappy thing is that I don't get paid for this but you can bet ill be tossing a hissy fit till they give me something. I didn't ask for this truck to break, especially with what I pay weekly to these yahoos. I guess the other good thing is there is a brothel like a mile from here and the ladies said they would comeget me even though my ...

Truck Drivers

So, to day driving I hear this lady in the WalMart where i was restocking my truck with food, plus the new things I will need for puppy care, when I overhear a person talking about how truck drivers are morons and a few other things. I had to bite my lip, but as many out there know me, it didn't last. There is one thing that I have grown to respect and that is the people who drive big trucks. No matter what kind of big truck you see or where you see them, they are out there doing one thing, helping others in some way or another. Picture this, if there were no more shoe salesmen, life would go on. No more people to mow your lawn, that is ok too. What if there were no more tellers at banks, well we would be ok but it would be a learning curve talking to robots or atm's all the time. However, if there were no truck drivers, we would be tossed back into the stone age. unless you are 100% self sufficient then something you have was brought to you by a truck. Your food, clothin...

Roadside Companionship

Well well. Here it a few days after my last post and some fun stuff has happened. I took a bit of time off at my fathers house in the Quad Cities,Ia . I have always wanted another dog after my last dog had passed a few years ago, i can't even honestly remember. I have tried often to no success cause whenever the people selling or giving away the dog found out I drove a big truck they wouldn't hand over the pet. Well while I was at my fathers I found the puppy I wanted. A registered female Silky Terrier. She is sooo adorable and now I am happy. Well, more then usually happy I should say. She is just over 8 weeks old and already I am carrier training her and got newspaper all over my truck. We get out often and she attempts to use the restroom but she just isnt tall enough. You can see her under my Facebook page. also there you can see who I am and what friends I have. Thanks. The time was well spent at my parents house. My dispatcher for the midwest area was a pain in my ars...

stepping into numbness

Okay, here we go starting a blogger. I dropped a dollar on this ad that kept bugging me to all reaches about being able to cash in on google. So now we are going to test this thing and see if it was worth the dollar I gave up on. After all, I could use that dollar for many other things, like half a gallon of gas, or an hour of electricity, hrmphhh. I have absolutely no idea what to put on my first ever blog, go figure. I mean I am looking at the icons on my screen and wonder now that I have a blog, what is going to be the first post ever. Oh well, guess I will need to get a plan of some sorts together and see where I can take this thing. Ill figure out what I need to do with this google thing and I will return. Maybe I can add onto this post and then again, maybe ill congest the internet with my rantings of confusion. Thanks for reading thus far! Chris
