Wasted Efforts..

Yea, I feel a bit wasted. Wasted time and nothing to show for it. What happened? Time to rethink this whole job career thing, maybe. I picked up my second student after my first student ran over his hours getting back to Dallas so he could get home. He quit and I got suspended for 72 hours for not stopping the truck when he went over his hours. I am trying to figure out how to stop a grown man from driving a moving truck that weighs almost 80k pounds while it is in motion... Any ideas? I could call our safety department but all it takes is a "click" to get them off the phone. I could call 911 but it wasn't an emergency. Go figure. My second student made it 4 weeks before having to go back to Dallas. This was due to the fact I hit 2 deer inside the Indianapolis loop just after midnight. That was easy. The hard part was sitting for 8 days while they repaired the truck at Kenworth and all this while NOT getting paid. Now the truck is fixed but I have to send in all kinds of ...

Well well, it has been awhile since I posted and alot has happened. Ill try to be swift and maybe again I will not. I have started training new drivers the ways of driving a big truck over the road. When I get a new student they have had exactly 3 weeks total of learning how to drive the truck. This is the bare basics to get them their CDL. It is only for the patient and tactful person. I got a gentleman named "J" 5 weeks ago straight off the yard in Dallas where I work at. He knew how to shift and turn a truck, that's it. it is my job to teach him everything else that he will need to know in a 5 week span to where he can drive the truck with no supervision other than himself. That is a task I now see is dang near impossible. He now knows how to drive in all terrains and weather as we have nearly hit every state in the lower 48 in these last 5 weeks. He got the idea of what the coloring book is for and how you can get in deep trouble if it isnt colored properly. He has p...

Wow, that's about all I can say at this moment. I enjoy Facebook and the friends it has brought back into my life from as far back as elementary school. Well, today, I find a friend, a very good friend, from when I was in high school in Davenport,Ia. Her name is Mary, she was a friend back in the day, and I am so glad today she still is a friend. I met her through another friend Brandi and at that time Mary was dating a guy named John, can't even remember his last name. Guess it never mattered. At any rate, i was dating Brandi but really wanted to date Mary, the whole time John was wanting to date Brandi, it was confusing now as it was then. Well one day we went to the local getaway which probably still is, Credit Island. We as in the four of us, played near an old tank, and a soccer field. I remember vividly trying to talk to Mary while Brandi went off with John about something. Long story short, John did Mary very wrongly and I had broken up with Brandi due to the fact I was ...
Rollin' Again

Hello everyone! Well it is great to be rolling again in the truck. Seems that Caterpillar had to replace a few parts on the trucks DPF system so it would run again. The Ard head was bad and a few sensors, but now it seems to be ok. For the moment that is. I picked up the truck and headed north over Cabbage Pass to Pasco,Wa. Now that I have a truck full of IBP beef I am headed down to Dallas,Tx to drop the trailer and see about getting a different truck. I got a few more friends this week in Facebook I haven't seen in a looong time. So I went on a search of friends I have long since forgotten about until one friend found me. I can't explain how good of a feeling it is to be remembered by friends from when you were in high school, junior high or even as far back as elementary. My math teacher from Andrew Jackson Elementary found me, boy I was happy, he was my favorite teacher all through those years. I guess its just great to be moving again, so now that I did my days work I will...

Well well. I got my truck back Thursday night. they said it was now fixed. But after talking to the tech who actually did the work, it was no where near done but Caterpillar said since it passed the tests (barely) it was to be released. I guess when the owner of the company you work for has a nice chunk of stock in a company, things get done the way you want. But then again, I could be wrong. I have a Kenworth T2000 with a 435hp caterpillar engine. It is well known across the board the regen system known as the DPF is crap. Thats what broke on the truck last weekend. Now today I left Elko,Nv and headed towards Boise,Id and guess what... Yup, the same error message popped up. PID 064 Unknown Engine. That part went bad. Well fo course, if you don't fix what made the first one bad, each adn every one you replace will keep failing. So here I sit in Boise and my truck won't get finished until tuesday. So ill be down for a total of 10 days. I think I will be turning my truck in when ...

Well slowly this AdSense thing is starting to show up here and on my other pages. Seeing how I just rant and ramble, you will see some ads of all kinds. Please if its interesting click it, see what they have to offer. Give it 30 seconds then move on. Maybe I can make a buck, maybe not. As I learn more and more from the training I might have to have blogs geared towards a certain idea or thought, or perhaps I will just post several blogs a day seeing how my brain is always bouncing from topic to topic. It's pretty informative so far, the Adsense training that is. Let's hope it pans out. Chris
